Leigh McCarthy

Physiotherapist

Leigh completed his Exercise Science degree and Master of Physiotherapy through Griffith University. He immediately began on the pathway to becoming a Titled Sports Physiotherapist and completed his Master of Sports Physiotherapy with the University of Queensland in 2017.

Leigh is passionate about Sports Physiotherapy. He has worked as a team physiotherapist for local, representative and state rugby union and rugby league teams as well as treating athletes of all abilities and disciplines in clinic. He is committed to ongoing learning and has completed his Level 1 and 2 Sports Physiotherapy courses, AWF Weightlifting Course for Physiotherapists, a Rehab Practitioner course and a Dry Needling course.

Personally, Leigh has been involved in Rugby Union from a young age and maintains a strong affiliation with his local club and Gold Coast Districts Rugby Union. Since hanging up his rugby boots, he enjoys adventure racing and olympic weightlifting.

Leigh currently works with the NRL Gold Coast Titans and welcomes opportunities to work with all individuals in assisting them in healthy living, keeping active and pain management.
