Tweed Heads Seagulls QRL- Head Physio Simon Callahan


Simon Callahan has been appointed head physio of the Tweed Heads Seagulls rugby league team. He brings a wealth of knowledge on injury management and prevention to the team. Over the past 9 years Simon has worked in a number of private clinics internationally, and in SA and VIC.

He has worked as a physio with a number of sports teams and events including West Adelaide Under 18’s, 2012 Dallaglio-Flintoff Cycle Slam and the Mildura Grand International Tennis Tournament.

Simon has completed his Masters of Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy at Griffith University and is the current head physio for the Tweed Heads Seagulls Rugby League Team. Over the last 12 years Simon has worked with many elite and community sports events including the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018.

Simon’s areas of interest include; sporting injuries particularly focused on the lower limb with a strong focus on exercise rehabilitation and hydrotherapy. Simon believes that empowering the individual with education and advice is the key to a successful outcome.

He currently runs a balance class and a knee class at our Worongary clinic. He also works in conjunction with the fitness first teams at our Robina clinic

Simon treats at the Worongary and Robina Clinics and also runs Hydrotherapy at the Robina clinic.

Qualifications: B.App. Sc (Physio), Masters Musc & Sports Physiotherapy
